Amar has been at Lowe for close to 16 years. An alumnus of the Mayo College, Ajmer and an Economics (Hons) graduate from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, Amar finished his post graduation from MICA, Ahmedabad. Having always had a knack for creative writing, he began doing it professionally from 2003. Lowe was his first creative job.
In his time here, he has worked on some of the more famous Unilever brands including Clinic Plus, Vim, Domex, Pepsodent, Pureit and Axe. Axe Academy, an award winning, widespread surround campaign he worked on extensively in his early years here, was among the more recognised and appreciated campaigns of its kind. In this period, he also regularly attended many Global Workshops and worldwide Creative Hothouses for Unilever brands such as Domestos, Sunlight and Clear.
For the last 8 years, Amar has led creative teams on the successful launches of many of India’s prominent startups like Freecharge, Byju’s, Faasos, Grofers and Practo. And for campaigns on Caratlane (Diwali, Valentine’s)
He has also led creative teams on some of the flagship work of Lowe, including the entire body of work on Axis Bank since the time of its repositioning with Badhti Ka Naam Zindagi, Hotstar (In particular the app’s much applauded and successful launch), StarSports.com (World Cup, ISL) Star Sports (World Cup – We won’t give it back!) and Google Pixel (The India launch). He was also instrumental in writing Google’s The Hero – A Bollywood Story
From amongst his recent work, the campaign Amar considers closest to his heart, is Flipkart’s Choose Your Age.
